I love superheroes, love comics, and love seeing powerful female figures.  Black superheroes though common are not often as glorified as their white counterparts.  Black women superheroes are hardly ever mentioned.  This io9 article (so appropriately titled), “The Greatest Black Women in Superhero Comics (Who Aren’t Storm)” is a comprehensive list of black women who kick ass in the comic book world.

Even I didn’t know about all of these women.  I’m really digging the title of this piece, because as mentioned in the article, Storm’s name is usually the first (and often the only) name mentioned in regard to black female superheroes.
